Though this is an important area to consider, however, with current situation, I need to hold on to my anxiety, adopt an approach in wait and see attitude. The child must learn to study independently, tuition should help, instead of adding new burden to her. With new academic year starting with 9 subjects, and change of environment with new school and new friends - big adjustment and hence great stress - the most important thing is to allow time for my daughter to adjust herself.
My daughter is an intelligent girl - what she needs to learn most is to learn to study by herself - she needs to learn to work out a routine to study efficiently.
Mother can help by adjusting her own schedules, but what with age catching up and reflection growing slower by the days. Daughter has to take an active role in studying and to ensure she is doing well - the hooking onto the electronic gadgets won't do - safe keeping mode of all gadgets, only release them on a Friday for 1-2 hours, perhaps may help.
Tuition in English should be in her own words, to help her attains an A*. Chinese Language, if any, is to enable her to learn and excel in the language which is to be used, besides for economic purposes, is also to learn her traditions and values.
